Scott Cowie is a drummer, turned comedy singer-songwriter -- who is apparently now a "Podcaster."
It all began at an acoustic open mic in San Francisco. Not having an acoustic guitar with him but being the resourceful and charming fellow that Scott is, he asked around to see if anyone would loan him a guitar. Thankfully there was one f.Boo artist present (Janeen Leah) who understood Scott's fabulous Scottish accent and graciously lent her ax. This led to a tour together, introduction to Robin and Keven Brennan, and recording of their f.Boo released duet "What's For You Won't Go By Youl". It wasn't long until Scott officially became part of the f.Boo Music family signing to the label in early 2014 and he is currently in production with Keven on his debut EP.
Being a self-proclaimed music fanatic, Scott is carving out a nitch for himself as a podcaster through a wonderful series of conversations with musicians and artists such as studio legend Carol Kaye, Julian Lennon, Stewart Copeland (Police), Newtaun Faulkner and Jack Bruce (Cream), and Dave Lombardo (Slayer) to name a few. Check out his weekly podcast series "The Talk Music Podcast" on his artist website. The show has just expanded to include a video series recorded at f.Boo Music.
During Scott Cowie's first visit to the U.S. (from his homeland Scotland), he stopped in at an open mic in San Francisco. There he asked Janeen to borrow her guitar so that he could perform, and soon after they were writing together to record their duet "What's For You Won't Go By You."
