Los Feliz
Imagine a musical project that develops between Los Angeles, California and Bogota, Colombia that meets once a year in a creative ritual binding two great engines of production. The result - a musical journey through sound and times of the twentieth century. With references from Surf, Funk and Jazz, traveling the roads of Cumbia, Mambo, Soukus and Afrobeat, the listener is taken on a psychedelic trip culminating in a sonic adventure to remember.
Imagine this collective line-up of musicians: Keven Brennan (The Zip Guns ), Camilo Otero (fBoo Music), Sergio and Santiago Mejia (Orquesta La 33), Urian Sarmiento (Curupira Colombia ,Sonidos Enraizados), Andres Felipe Molina (LA MERCOSUR), Mauri Rodriguez (Sidestepper), Davey Chegwidden (De La Soul ,The Lions), Black Shakespeare (I&I sOUND sYSTEM, The Lions), Erika Peralta (Aguasalá, La Revuelta) and guest appearances by other illustrious talents -- THEY ARE LOS FELIZ!
After 3 years of collaborative sessions, they have crafted a repertoire of captivating originals and boldly reimagined classics. In 2015 the collective's unique sound and distinctive style was captured in their debut, self titled EP LOS FELIZ, which included 5 tracks that are the result of their first recording sessions.
This new musical stew "Los Feliz 2" has been simmering, with the full deployment of the band, and promises to be an unprecedented experience for hungry listeners!
